A wonderful, large hand carved wooden Santa with bell and toy bag measuring 18 inches tall and weighing 10 pounds. He is carved out of a lighter color wood with nice grain, our guess is a tropical hardwood, probably mango. This Santa has a very nice face and expression. There is one small crack down the right side of his face (about one eighth of an inch wide) - with large wood carvings this is not uncommon, not structural, and referred to as 'checking' as the wood cures. artist unknown.
